Our village, De Waal
De Waal is a picturesque village on the border of the ancient land and an old polder of Texel. The village only has a few narrow streets lined with lovely old houses and farms. You enter De Waal south, called the ‘Bomendiek’, which is one of the oldest dikes on Texel. The museum, which you will find well worth visiting, is in the heart of De Waal beside the square in front of the church.
Tour guides
These are experts by experience who, because of their background, can inform visitors about the collection elements and their application. If desired, they guide individual visitors or groups and act as a source of information for all visitors. The tour guide forms a fixed duo with the desk clerk.
